The value we generate for our clients is managing functions not directly
related to their core business such as building maintenance, landscaping, cleaning, janitorial service and employee health and safety needs.
BEHIND THE RENAMING
As of June 1, 2009 Southern Building Maintanance Co., Inc. (SBM) has been renamed to Non-Core Business Solutions, LLC. Over the last 51 years, the company has provided non-core services to many clients located in the South East. The initial endeavor was to create a best-in-class service provider for professional commercial cleaning services. This was accomplished and serves as the core platform for growth into many areas. The SBM core engine was clearly respected as, “A Professional Management Solution”.
A fundamental strategy for the company was to position as a professional one-stop solution for all client service needs and we eventually became much
more than the message conveyed by the name "Southern Building Maintenance." Our company provides many value-added services that compliment our client’s day-to-day and special project needs. The name, “Southern Building Maintenance Company”, did not accurately or effectively reflect the comprehensible core competencies within our organization. “Southern”, tended to limit our geography, which was not correct as we are growing into a National firm. “Building Maintenance” also limited our message as we do much more than building maintenance. In fact, more than 50% of our revenue comes from non-typical cleaning services, such as industrial maintenance and services performed for our manufacturing, energy, food service, construction, automotive, healthcare, and governmental clients.
Although our company name has changed, the operational principals and foundation upon which SBM was built have remained the same. And, as Non-Core Business Solutions, LLC, we will continue to operate under the guidance of the same Core Values.
SBM Renames to Become "Non-Core Business Solutions, LLC"
We are proud to announce our new company name, Non-Core Business Solutions, LLC. We believe our new name more accurately reflects the variety of services we've provided for the last 50 years and represents the direction in which we continue to grow. Although under a new name, we are the same company our valued clients are accustomed to working with and we look forward to continue to offer best-in-class solutions for non-core needs.

SBM Pledges to Support Nepal Orphans
On a recent trip to Nepal, NCBS CEO, John Ray, had a special encounter with ten orphan children in Kitapur, for whom Southern Building Maintenance has pledged to support housing, education and feeding. Most of the orphan’s parents were killed by the Maoist when the country was taken by force and SBM feels honored to be able to play a small role in supporting their precious lives. Ray personally met each of the children during his visit and was the first American most of the villagers had ever seen. Pictured via this link, are nine of the ten orphan children, as well as one of their two guardians.
As SBM celebrates its 50th Anniversary of providing quality non-core services to our customers, this charitable outreach is only one of the many ways in which the company is proactively seeking to share its success with those less fortunate.

NCBS is now certified Class H, Right of Way, Pesticide Applicator by the State of North Carolina and has been awarded the first spraying contract from a long standing client.
